Lies Tanghe

With 5 albums, forces bundled together, a magical voice, fairy authenticity, limitless passion and many years of experience in the pocket, it would be a shame to let them stay within the limits of their country".

ABOUT US

Corte di Lunas is an italian Folk Rock Band from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region of the north-east of Italy. Born as a medieval music band playing in historical re-enactments, the rock influence can be heard in the first album, "Plaudite 'si più forte" out in 2010. From then the sound of the band progressively evolved into folk and reinassance rock, thanks to the melodic voice of Giordana and more complex arrangements. This gave birth to the second work edited in 2012 "Ritual" and to the chance to start playing in some italian folk and celtic festivals. The sound evolved again and the band revealed a metal attitude coupled with the typical ancient sweet melodies in the third LP, "The Lady of the Lake" (2015). Following the release, the band embarked in a couple of years of intense touring through the italian celtic folk festivals scene.

Between 2017 and the early 2019 the line-up changed, pursuing a more folkish sound and introducing new musicians: Mary (flutes), Martina (hurdy-gurdy) and David (bouzouki). Then, the 7 members band started into a journey through its homeland origins, researching sounds and traditions, exploring legends and ancient stories hidden in its native territory. The next work, released in May 2019 was called for this reason "The Journey".

It’s a taste of the renewed sound of the band and introduces the main LP called “Tales from the Brave Lands” (2020), a concept album inspired by the legends of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the band’s native land. Through eleven tracks, the band goes back to its roots to give voice to stories of strong women and miserable creatures, of heroes and peaceless monsters, of wild nature, rushing rivers, barren mountains and stormy seas. Tales of a Brave land.
